Get ready for the 8th semi-annual #smkmeetup

Join us for a casual day in a keyboard petting zoo. There will be hundreds of keyboards to type on and talk about. Come for the keyboards; stay for the community.

We will also have keyboard soldering workshops! More details coming soon (if you RSVP, we will email you once workshop registration is available).

Bring your own mechanical keyboard(s) and receive free admission to the Living Computers Museum + Labs. The museum generously provides the space for everyone to meetup, share, and socialize over keyboards. In exchange, we provide the museum with a quasi-pop-up keyboard exhibit. If you don't have a keyboard to show off in the petting zoo, you will need to pay admission once you arrive at the museum (the museum is totally worth it).

Public Transportation

According to the Living Computers website:

The primary bus routes near Living Computers: Museum + Labs are 21, 594, 132, 106, 50, 102, 590, and 116. You can also use the Metro Transit Trip Planner to find a bus route. If you are taking Central Link light rail, get off at the SODO station. Walk a few blocks west to 1st Avenue S, then north one block to the museum.

You may also find suggestions for Seahawks games useful, however you will be a few blocks away from the museum if you follow Century Link Field directions completely.

cKeys?

We are a volunteer run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our purpose is to address, educate, and coordinate the dispersal of soldering and electrical hardware skills and knowledge across age and socioeconomic divides while inspiring enthusiasm for mechanical keyboards and other input devices.

We teach hardware and programming workshops in the Greater Seattle Area.

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our meetup are required to agree with the following code of conduct.

Our meetup is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices (rubber domes included). We do not tolerate harassment of meetup participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate anywhere at our meetup, including talks, Twitter, and other online media. Meetup participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the meetup at the discretion of the meetup organizers.
